What it's worth
HPE builds HGX servers under the Cray and ProLiant names, from the XD670 of the H100 generation to the ProLiant Compute XD685 for B300, plus a GB300 NVL72 rack. Major-OEM servers like HPE's resell for more than those from smaller builders in our data.

What we check on an HPE deal
Cooling variant. The same XD685 ships air-cooled or liquid-cooled, and a B300 build must be the liquid-cooled chassis. The liquid version resells only to sites with direct liquid cooling, which narrows the liquidation buyer pool.
Support and firmware. HPE's iLO management controller records the hardware's history, and the support contract decides how fast a failed part is replaced. Both go in the report.
