What Micron equipment is worth as collateral, now and when your loan matures.
What it's worth
Micron memory resells at almost exactly the same price as SK hynix and Samsung parts of the same spec: in our data the three makers' resale distributions nearly overlap, with medians around 87-89% of the spec median. What moves Micron DIMMs and SSDs in an appraisal is the memory market: used server memory traded +492% against normal depreciation in the October 2026 Rack Report.
What we appraise
| HBM3E inside the GPU | Micron announced in February 2024 that its 24 GB 8-high HBM3E would ship in the NVIDIA H200, and at GTC 2025 that its 36 GB 12-high HBM3E is designed into HGX B300 and GB300 NVL72. HBM is soldered on the GPU package, so it is valued with the GPU, not as memory. |

The brand barely matters; the market does
Memory is one of the few server components where brand makes little difference to resale. Micron, SK hynix and Samsung parts of the same capacity and speed sold within about two points of each other. An appraisal values a Micron DIMM by capacity, generation, speed and OEM qualification.
The market is the big variable. The memory shortage reasserted itself in August 2026: used modules rose after three flat months, leaving the memory index at 491 against a first-half-2025 base of 100. A memory line priced at the peak can be worth far less by delivery.
