What Supermicro equipment is worth as collateral, now and when your loan matures.
What it's worth
Supermicro is the second-largest server OEM by our estimate, with about $21.3 billion of server revenue in 2025, and builds HGX systems from H100 to B300 and GB300 NVL72 racks. An appraisal of Supermicro equipment adds two checks: configuration and export compliance.

What we check on a Supermicro deal
Configuration. Supermicro builds more of its servers in-house than other OEMs and offers many variants, so the delivered configuration, not the catalog model, is the collateral. Standard configurations resell faster and higher than bespoke ones.
Export compliance and title. In March 2026 a Supermicro co-founder was charged over $2.5 billion of GPU server sales to China. For a lender, serial numbers, chain of title and the equipment's location matter more on any deal where hardware moved through intermediaries.
Company risk. Supermicro filed its delayed annual report in February 2025, avoiding delisting, after its auditor resigned. An appraisal records the warranty and support terms, since they depend on the OEM standing behind them.
