What it's worth
A GB200 NVL72 is 72 GPUs in one NVLink domain, drawing about 120 kW per rack and liquid-cooled only. The rack, not the server, is the unit of collateral, and only liquid-cooled sites can buy it.

What moves GB200 NVL72 collateral value
One NVLink domain. All 72 GPUs talk over NVLink through the rack's switch trays. Split the rack and it stops being an NVL72. Our report finds a whole, tested cluster sells better than the same nodes sold one by one; for a rack-scale system the gap is structural.
The site is part of the asset. Past roughly 40 kW per rack, air cooling stops working; at about 120 kW, a GB200 NVL72 needs direct-to-chip liquid cooling, the grid capacity, reinforced floors and plumbing. A liquidation buyer must have that site, which is a short list. See power and cooling readiness.
Early racks had problems. In November 2024 and January 2025, reports described GB200 NVL72 racks overheating and hyperscalers cutting rack orders while NVIDIA revised designs. An appraisal records the rack revision, firmware and the vendor's fixes.
There is no published GB200 band. The GPU silicon is the B200's, so we use the B200 bands as the reference and adjust for the liquid-cooled buyer pool: 40-54% of list price in 2027 and 30-42% in 2028 in the conservative case.
