GB300 NVL72 vs HGX B300
Rack-scale costs roughly 1.5-2.1x per GPU; HGX goes into more data centers.
The difference
Same Blackwell Ultra GPU, two systems. A GB300 NVL72 rack costs a ballpark $8 million to $8.6 million with networking and installation, $111,000 to $119,000 per GPU. An HGX B300 node lists at $400,000 to $520,000, or about $56,000 to $74,000 per GPU once networking is added.

Comparing the prices fairly
Rack-scale costs 1.5 to 2.1 times as much per GPU. The GB300 ballpark includes the NVLink switch trays, networking and installation; the HGX ranges cover the server only, so add $50,000 to $70,000 of networking per server. Per GPU, NVIDIA lists 15 dense FP4 PFLOPS for GB300 NVL72 and 13.5 for HGX B300.
The site decides
Few sites can take a GB300 rack today. A GB300 NVL72 draws about 130-140 kW and is liquid-cooled only; an HGX B300 server draws about 15 kW. A lender against NVL72 racks holds fewer, larger, harder-to-place units, so appraise the rack and the site together.
