Mumbai-headquartered State Bank of India is the country's largest bank, a public sector lender constituted in 1955 with roots in the 1806 Bank of Calcutta, about 23,000 branches and 245 offices in 29 foreign countries. Its corporate and project finance groups lend to large borrowers, and in early 2024 it provided Yotta Data Services about Rs 13.57 billion (roughly $163 million) of long-term debt.
