What used data center GPUs sell for, month by month.
What it measures
What a fixed basket of used data center GPUs aged 2.5 to 8 years, from the T4 to the H100, sells for as a share of its price new. H1 2025 = 100. It comes out monthly as the GPU line of the Rack Report.
The baseline column compares sales with normal depreciation for the same model at the same age: -14% means used GPUs sold 14% below it.

Monthly readings
August 2026: 75. Down 12% on July, the lowest in the 13 months we publish, with used GPUs 14% below normal depreciation. Cards older than Hopper led the fall, while used HGX H100 servers held their price.
July 2026: 86. Down 8% on June, giving back the spring rally that peaked at 107 in April. Used GPUs sold 9% below normal depreciation, with the weakness in cards older than Hopper.

Questions
- How is it different from GPU rental indices?
- Rental indices, such as Ornn's and Silicon Data's, track what an hour of GPU time costs. This index tracks what the GPU itself sells for, which is what a lender recovers if a borrower stops paying.
- How often is it updated?
- Monthly, with each Rack Report. An issue can restate recent months as late sales come in.
